Took a walk up to North Street in December to check out the art on display. Really good quality paintings of local shops and characters before the bulldozers moved in and it looks the part but Location - oh dear...

Call me a moaner but it's not exactly the easiest place to get to is it? To view the paintings you have to walk across a mess of weeds and broken bottles avoiding a twisted ankle on the uneven surface. Now though it has it's own private car park but still no-one using it.

What Art expert decided the best place for some very colourful paintings was on a bit of waste ground where nobody goes. Maybe it's the Christmas Tree mentality - put it out of the way so no one can get at it. Maybe the paintings will be joined by our city's Phone Boxes and in the spring the flower beds could surely be moved up there too!
